Driver License Identity Theft?

I sent my TX temporary driver license to a company by e-mail but then i realized that it was a scam e-mail. My id includes my sign and dl number, but not my picture. I am not a citizen so i don’t have a social security number and credit history. Can they use it for theft? What should i do?
In Texas you can get a driver license without ssn. It’s not fake.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Due to the circumstances you describe, you could be at risk for identity theft but it’s good they don’t have your social security number or financial information. If someone will use your ID, it would likely be to pretend to be you so they can apply to get a social security card or other identification and this is the danger.

You need to report the loss to the Texas Department of Public Safety Drivers’ License Division and be sure to keep a copy of your police report (case number). Please see the link below for some other helpful tips from DPS. Don’t wait–time is not your friend and you are not alone! The checklist (last link) is also very helpful because it gives you a step-by-step guide if you find your identity has been stolen.
