If someone will use your ID, it would likely be to pretend to be you so they can apply to get a social security card or other identification and this is the danger.

You need to report the loss to the Texas Department of Public Safety Drivers&#039; License Division and be sure to keep a copy of your police report (case number). The checklist (last link) is also very helpful because it gives you a step-by-step guide if you find your identity has been stolen.</description>
