Update…

The compromised account was replaced.

Soon thereafter there was an unauthorized attempt to again use the old account.

Even though the intrusion was detected and dealt with, there’s no telling how many other hands this routing number has fallen into and will fall into.

This is why I’m an advocate of a watchdog program like Lifelock.

Even though Lifelock couldn’t have prevented this event, it can prevent future attempts to establish false credit accounts and use those accounts to make purchases.
