How do you prevent IDENTITY theft when you’ve lost your wallet?

My daughter lost her wallet,with her: drivers license, bank (debit) card and bank account number, Social Security Card, a credit card, and a check from a friend.

    NEVER keep your Social Security card or number in your wallet except when you need to bring it on the first day of a new job. Even the information that comes with the card advises against that.
