Identity theft question?
I applied to a job posting at the craiglist (which I know, I shouldn’t have) and sent them my resume with my name, full, address, tel. nos., e-mail, educational info, and volunteer history. No birthday, age, SSN, or anything like that.
It didn’t click to me that the post might have been a scam, until I sent them my resume. I never had a formal job before, and I have no-credit. Am I at a risk of being an identity theft victim?
When it doubt, put it on fraud alert through Trans Union Fraud Dept. Their toll free # 1-800-680-7289. They will notify the other 2 bureaus and must be renewed every 90 days in order to keep it active. Better to be safe than sorry later.
