Is it necessary to shred name and address on tossed mail/docs to avoid identity theft?

or is more info than name and address needed to steal I.D.?

    it’s a good idea to shred anything with your name and address on it. It’s also a good idea NOT to have your SS# or Driver LIcense or telephone # not imprinted on your checks or savings pass slips!

    Identity thieves are skillfull.
