My ID has been stolen what can I do to avoid Identity theft problems?

My wallet was stolen, (Drivers licence, Social Security, Credit card and the like). I allready have bad credit. I immediately cancelled my credit cards. Is it possible for someone to procure a line of credit unbenowngst to me?

    The FTC has set up an excellent site with information on ID Theft. Go to the link below.

    The problem with ID Theft is you never know it’s been stolen until you start seeing signs. You may get a strange bill in the mail…collection calls….

    When you pull a credit report you will see just how bad it is. ID Theft is like cockroaches….once you start seeing a problem it’s usually a lot worse then it looks.
