What can be the best way for somebody who thinks he could be a victim of a lottery scam?

I mean, is it possible for X to clean up that mess if ever that happens? Give me a few steps you would take to try to not fall victim of identity theft.

Also, if X was not working and had no credit cards, could the spammers make him have a bad credit history? What then??

I`m just very very curious that`s all!

  1. Gary says:

    Contact the local police

    Go to ftc.gov for info

Contact all 3 credit bureaus & report it, also put a credit alert on your account

Contact your bank & change account numbers

    Do all the above ASAP

You will have to remain vigilant for ID theft fallout from this for at least a year
